KOTM Monday with Camille

Is it weird to say, Happy Monday?! How about Happy Kit-of-the-Month Monday? That has a better ring to it!

I’m here today to share how I used this month’s Kit of the Month, “It’s Going to Be Beautiful”.
I used the AngieGirl and sentiment from this month’s kit of the month on the tag above. What fun I had!  It sure didn’t feel like Monday (it was actually Saturday, Lol). The little eyeglasses were an afterthought embellishment that I printed and cut from basic cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I adhered them with a tiny dab of glue. They really add a bit of dimension and whimsy. I might have to get some cat eye frames the next time I have an eye appointment.

AngieGirls are so much fun to play with and embellish. I just love it when they’re included in the Kit of the Month. If you want to have as much fun as I did on my tag, you’d better snag this month’s Kit of the Month. Here’s a look at the entire kit.

Clicking on the image above will take you to the KOTM page at Unity Stamp Company.

The KOTM is only $37 for a full 8.5-x-11-inch sheet of rubber. Also, you can get all the past kits at a reasonable price once you are a member—only $26.  To add to that fantastic news, every month you get a coupon code for $6.95 off every order. That sounds like a deal to me!

I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL week!

SMAK Saturday... WANDERLUST

Hello welcome to SMAK Saturday
Angie Blom here with a scrapbook layout
using the July SMAK kit  "WANDERLUST"

I just adore all the fun elements in this kit.
to check out on how to become a member go to the link below.

Using just black ink I layered some of the images in to a piece
of 8.5 x 11 white card stock.. I love just using the stamps and layering them
on to each other to create a background.

Then adding watercolor to the flowers and parts of the background.
getting some American Crafts  papers and cutting different shapes out .

I am using a 9 x 12 spiral bound  sketch book to add all my layouts in.
I got this one from our local dollar store.
I am loving how it is all looking, something different instead of
using a scrapbook album.

Only days until this kit changes to the August SMAK.. so if you want to grab this as your first
kit as a new membership go sign up..
here is a sneak peek of August.
You are going to just love these!!

Uniquely Unity

Happy Friday Unity lovers.  Can you believe that it's almost the end of July and that means the end of our second month of the Uniquely Unity subscription.  Each one of the beautiful kits is a must-have. I can tell you I've had sneak peak at the August kit...I'm over the moon (pun intended!).

Back to the July kit...Whole Love Story.  There have been so many beautiful samples this month, it was hard to come up with something a bit different.  I love coloring with colored pencils on kraft cardstock, so I thought I'd try it on gray.  I'm happy with the results and hope you are too.

Here's the kit.

One Happy Life

Hello Everyone...
I have had a lot of fun decorating my planner the past few months.
If you didn't see the new Planner Gal stamps you MUST check them out.

I started my August calendar with Planner Gal : One Happy Life.
Her pixie hair is THE cutest.  August is a big birthday month for our family.
I'm excited to get the dates filled in.

Planner Gal : One Happy Life

My Planner is a basic 8.5 X 11 size with a hard cover.
It's made by Mead and I picked it up at Target for only about 9 dollars.  The price was right and I love the size of the calendar blocks, lots of room for writing.

Have a happy day today....

DT Tuesday

Hi Sharon here and today I'd like to show you an interactive card I made. It's a penny slider card.

I love the sentiment on this one "Do What They Think You Can't Do" and I'm trying to!!!
So I've used two of Jolande and Marlene's kits.

You Can Do It
and Keep Wild

I have stamped them out onto patterned paper and the butterfly is the centre piece which travels around the circle.
Also I'd like to show you some of my favourite projects I've seen on the Show & Tell FB page.
This one's by Lin Metcalf  I love the sentiment and the gorgeous Autumnal colours.

                                           No automatic alt text available.

Another one that stood out for me is this one by Julie Poppe. I love the colours and cute image.

Well that's all for me for now, have a great week!!!

KOTM Monday with Angeline

Happy Monday Unity friends!
Angeline here to share with you a tag I made using this month's Kit of the Month "It's going to be beautiful".

Unity Stamp: KOTM Monday with Angeline #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #kotm #kitofthemonth #timholtz #distressoxide #tonicstudios #nuvodrops #katscrappiness #katscrappinessdie #rainbow #ombre #stamp #stamping #papercraft

I stamped the beautiful flower/believe stamp on white cardstock and die cut the tag using Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag dies. Then it's time to color it up!

I smooshed my Tim Holtz distress oxide inks [Worn Lipstick/Wilted Violet/Broken China/Cracked  Pistachio/Fossilized Amber/Spiced Marmalade/Fired Brick] on my craft mat and spritzed some water onto it. Then I swiped my tag onto the colors and wa-lah!
Finally, I added some Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops to the tag and I'm done.

Uniquely Unity - Whole Love Story

Hello Friends!

It's Mandi here with a new card I made with the July Uniquely Unity kit Whole Love Story.

This is a really lovely to colour.

I used my watercolour paints on this card and chose bright bold colours.

Of course I had to get some more hearts in there somewhere.

So I created the background with another stamp called Hearts of Old.

I used a black card base and silver ink.

Here is the stamp on it's own.

Don't you love it?

Here is a quick video of how I made the background.

This kit is only $14.99 a month which is a great deal for a unique stamp sent to you every month.

If you are interested in joining the Uniquely Unity subscription you can go here for all of the details.

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Hi, it's Gaylynn.  Today, I am sharing a card made from the July 2017 Layers of Life kit and a past Stamp of the Week.

Sentiment:  I miss you a little too much, a little too often and a little more every day.

Watercolor was used to color in the daisies.  I trimmed the card using lace, lacey die-cuts and patterned paper.

HAPPY Hump Day!

Today I’m sharing a 5-x-7-inch mixed media canvas using this month’s Layers of Life kit, this month’s SMAK kit, and bits and pieces of some other past Unity kits from the past year.

The reason I’ve got bits and pieces of past kits is because initially I started this little canvas months ago, got distracted, tired, or whatever the case may be, and I was not inspired to finish it until today.

Do you ever do that? You’re inspired to begin making something and then, out of nowhere, it just fails to capture the motivation required to finish your vision. It happens to me. Not a lot, but it does happen. This canvas is a pure testament to that process.

So, if you’ve began a card, tag, canvas, or scrapbook page, etc, and it was just never finished, I DARE YOU to pick it back up and add some NEW Unity to it. This was just what I needed to finish my canvas. It felt SO GOOD to put it on my shelf to display.

I hope you can get over that HUMP and finish making your pretty stuff.
