KOTM Monday with Karen...

Hi there Unity friends.  It's Karen here sharing this holiday card
using the October Unity KOTM - "Holiday Hugs"!!

This kit is full of so many lovely holiday stamps and sentiments,
and now I am a little ahead here starting on this years batch of cards to create this Season!!

I'm featuring the sweet mistletoe stamp and sweet sentiment
for a vintage card.  I love how these stamps can adapt so
easily to any style you want to create!!

I've used my Tim Holtz distress markers to watercolor this beautiful stamp...

The background was made by using a 2-3 other watercolor markers to match up
perfectly (Pumice, Sage, & Old Paper) with my vintage
designer papers for that nostalgic feeling I was going for here on this card!

Check out this month's kit, to sign up right now...

Have a wonderful day!

KOM Reminder - Oct 2016 Holiday Hugs

I am so in LOVE with this month's Kit of the Month - Holiday Hugs!  It's filled with so many gorgeous stamps, perfect for Christmas cards.

Let's get straight into the cards...

This is my favorite image - I love her in soft blues and pinks.

This is a card that is so easy to make and to reproduce.  I colored the city image in 3 shades of blue and the background in 3 shades of orange and stamped the sentiment above it.

This mistletoe image is so adorable.  It's so easy to color and I pair it with the diecut word JOY.

This last card is in non-traditional Christmas colors.  I thought it was fun to try a color combo I've never used before.  The sentiment "Christmas" is from last year's Oct 015 KOM set. Tell me what you think!

If there is just one kit you need to get this month to make all your Christmas cards, this is the one!  KOM membership comes with a lot of perks and you can read all about it here. The kit costs only $26 plus $5 Shipping for U.S.;   Canada & International Shipping $12.
Don't delay as you have just a few days more to get this kit before the new kit is released.

Happy Stamping!

Inspiration Wednesday

Hi Sharon here and today it's my turn for the Inspiration Wednesday post. I have used just one of the images and one of the sentiments from the September KOTM.

moments-between-moments-september-2016-kom

I haven't had the time to craft lately due to work commitments but I had a chance to sit down at my desk and as I looked out the window I saw the beautiful colours of the leaves turning on the trees just at the bottom of my garden. So that inspired me to make this card using gorgeous Autumnal colours.

I was also inspired by an old phone book I found whilst clearing out a cupboard!! Rather than throw it away I thought I could use that!! So if you look carefully you will see it through the Tim Holtz die as a background paper and I have stamped the sunflowers onto it, I then embossed them and coloured them with distress inks. This was a really quick card but I think it looks very effective.

Take a look around your home you'll be surprised what could inspire you!

KOTM Monday

Good morning all of you fabulous Unity friends.  It's Kris here to give you another bit of inspiration from the October KOTM.  If you've been here before, you've heard me say it over and over...I LOVE this month's kit called HOLIDAY HUGS.  PSST!, I actually LOVE every month's kit-LOL!

I chose to work with the silver bells and coordinating sentiment mostly because it was one my Mother's favorite holiday songs.  She had a beautiful voice and could also play the piano and I remember listening to her play and sing it during the holidays.  Truly a wonderful memory for me.

Here's my card.  Now I love cutting sentiments apart, but couldn't do it with this one as the lines are spaced too close together.  Not to be deterred, I carefully masked the silver bells and then the remainder to come up with 2 parts to the sentiment.  I also added a bit of cityscape die-cut just for fun.  Hope you like it.

Here is this month's full kit.  Just look at all of those gorgeous images and sentiments.

Just click on the kit pic or any other bold text in this post and you'll be able to get all the details on how to sign up for this monthly subscription.  Doesn't this seem like a great one to start with?

Jar Full of Stars - SOTW Reminder

Good morning! I'm dropping by this morning to share a card with this week's Stamp of the Week - and it is ADORABLE!!! Seriously, what could be cuter than a jar filled with stars? Well...maybe a jar filled with glittery stars!

Make sure and pop over to the website and read about the Stamp of the Week if you aren't familiar - a super adorable stamp lands in your mailbox each week, for less than you probably spend on coffee in a week! A fabulous surprise - and who doesn't love surprises!!

This one is so seriously fun to color - I love the whimsical feel to it! Once it was colored, I added some sparkly Stickles all over the stars, and finished off with a few clear droplets.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
