Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline

Hi. Angeline here to share with a card which I was inspired by.....
Yes, you guessed it right...

In our modern life and society, we're always stucked behind our screens (phones included!) and I find that I hardly have time to just sit down and appreciate God's creations.

This month's August Kit of the month "Open your soul" had this beautiful fern stamps so I just had to make a card using it.

I inked the leaves with two different shades of green inks and created this scene where the sun is shining the brightest in the middle. I added a strip of glitter gold at the borders of the card.

Oh, and the sentiment is just perfect for this card! (Also found in the kit)

Let's just take time and enjoy nature.

Growing in Unity Wednesday

It's Wednesday and time for another Growing in Unity gal! This week Rachel is up sharing her wonderful Unity creations.

Meet Rachel:

Here is a little something about her:

"I am Rachel Bogner. I am a SAHM, Farmer's Wife, book keeper, crafter, and business owner. When I am not crazy busy running my kids to school or practice, helping out with the farm, or all my other mommy to do’s, I can usually be found in my craft studio working on custom orders or trying something new. I have been crafting my entire life. My mom started me young with all the crafting she did. Painting, bead work, sewing, cake decorating, leatherwork… a little bit of everything! I got into paper crafting when I was in the eighth grade when I wanted to make my own envelopes to send to my pen pal in Italy. I used old scene photos from the National Geographic Magazines we had around the house.
I jumped on board with scrapbooking when my first son was born in 2007, and I shortly turned to card making when I was taken to a stamping party. I have been a Unity Stamp Addict since 2009, when I first
purchased the May Kit of the Month. I have SOOOO much Unity, I have run out of places to hide.... I mean store it!
I hope everyone enjoys seeing what I make during this week!"

DT Tuesday | Stephanie Gold

Hey there my dears!! It's time for another DT Tuesday!!! Woo woo!!
I am going to start off with a little story lol...

The other day I was ranting in my head at the checkout counter of the grocery store about all of these magazines with these gorgeous, perfect women on the covers. I ended up going home and researching what goes into the photoshopping and makeup etc of these photo shoots because I HAD to know how real they were. Now of course, they are basically fake. But I didn't realize HOW fake they were. These women sit through like an HOUR AND A HALF of JUST makeup!!! And then there is hair styling and someone picks out clothes for them. Sometimes they wear 2 push up bras and then they get photoshopped out to look like there is no bra at all! Sometimes they have hairy legs and they photoshop their legs perfect!!! Now I don't want to take away from these women who love doing this for work or anything like that, I'm simply speaking of when we have those times when we end up comparing ourselves. I have skin issues so one of the main things that I unfortunately look at are these women's beautiful, perfect complexions. And sometimes I end up feeling pretty crummy.

So after I do all of this research and mental ranting I decided that for this week's DT Tuesday project, I am going to make a bunch of tags to leave in front of these magazines at the grocery store in hopes to deter minds away from the ridiculousness and onto what's important... That we each are beautiful and we each have beautiful, magnificent souls. Here are a few of them:

If you read all of that story, THANK YOU for bearing with me!!! Haha now here are some incredible projects from YOU ALL that really caught my eye.

This one is by Kimberley Allison Rich. I adore the simplicity and texture. Just my style. :)

This next one is by Leslie Eide and she watercolored it into her PLANNER!!! I LOVE this!!

This last one is by Hilary Reynolds and I love how her hair looks like it has highlights. Isn't it so cute?! And again, the simplicity is just my style. :)

Ok so below is a giant list of all of the INCREDIBLE stamp sets I used for my own project!

Don't these sets go SO well together?! You need them all!!!! Just kidding. :)

To leave you here is a quote that I just LOVE:

 Happy Tuesday! Much love!

Insiration Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday!!!
What inspires you to create??
For me, it is my kids.
Since I am strictly a scrapbooker, they are the reason.  I want to document life for them.  When I think back to my childhood, there is really nothing documented, aside for some report cards and hand drawn pictures.  For my kids, I am preserving their history.  When we were getting things together for Megan's graduation party, it was awesome.  The entire family sat around (pre-party time) and went through my scrapbooks.  There were so many forgotten memories and TONS of great stories. It was priceless.   And hysterical, at times.

Go be INSPIRED! :)

Growing in Unity Wednesday

Hey there and welcome to Growing in Unity Wednesday!  Carly is up this week as our GIU gal.

Meet Carly:

Here is a little something about Carly:

"Hello Unity friends! I'm Carly (aka)) Tiffani. I've been crafting since I was eight and there's nothing I have found that I didn't love.  My heart is in sharing my desire to follow and share Gods heart through cards and gifts for others. I think Unity has some of the most unique stamps and there's something for everybody!  I have been creating cards for many many years but my true desire to create them came to me around 28 years old. I wanted something easy to make and still use my crafty side.   I just can't atop creating them. However, I make metal stamped jewelry, reg jewelry, paintings, sewing, and gift baskets with a all kind of homemade items.   I'm excited to be doing Unity girl this week. Thanks for the opportunity"

Pick of the Week

Hello Unity friends. Shemaine here today for this week's Design Team pick of the week.

Let's start with today's quote.

Inspired? Me too! Now for a little something fun I created with our awesome Sentiment kits. I had a few Birthday cards to make this week.

So I inked up the February Sentiment kit, so glad you were born.

I love the color purple. it's my favorite. I love the images from this set. They are so fun to create with.

Now let's take a look at what you all created this week.

Did you see Chris Dayton's first Angie Girl card? I love the way she colored the image too!

Next I spotted Kathryn Hughes fun, bright card also using So glad you were born.

Who wouldn't love to receive this wonderful card for their Birthday.

Well that's it for me today. Thanks for sharing your Unity creations with us in the Unity Show and Tell group, We love celebrating your creations every Tuesday.

Have a creative day!
