Guest Designer - Stamped Milk Bottles

 Hello Friends

It's Mandi here back with my last guest designer post. I have had so much fun showing you my Unity creations over this past month. I can't believe February has come and gone already!

Today I am showing you my most favourite way to use my stamps. Stamping on to painted glass bottles or jars. The stamps I am using today are called French Kiss Life.  As soon as I saw these stamps I knew that I wanted to use them on bottles. So this idea has been milling around in my head for months. I am glad to be finally getting around to making them.

All you need to do is find some bottles or jars that you like with a flat surface to stamp on. Paint your bottles in a colour scheme of your choice. I went with an ombre lilac, white and pink theme. You can use any paint but I like to use chalk paint as it adheres to glass really well. Then, once they are completely dry, stamp your bottles with archival ink. I find the easiest way to do this is to stick my stamp down on my desk, ink the stamp, then take my bottle and roll it from one end of the stamp to the other while pressing down quite firmly. I then took a nail file and distressed the tops a little. I finished them off by adding some twine. You can also seal with them with some mod podge if you choose but I like the chalky finish of the paint.

I hope that this leaves you inspired to make your own or at least to step out and try something new!

Before I sign off I want to say a huge thanks to Unity for giving me the opportunity to guest design. It truly has been an amazing month.  Also to my Unity friends for leaving me some lovely comments on my projects.

Have a beautiful day!

Hugs

Mandi :)
