Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline

Happy Wednesday!
It's Angeline here sharing with you what has been inspiring me lately.

Recently I've discovered Bible Journalling and I find it's just a wonderful way to just jot down your walk with God and at the same time -- get creative and use up your scrappy stash! I've also always marvelled at those who can draw so beautifully. Just magnificent!

Here's an example of beautiful artwork by Melissa Fischer

So since I can't draw much, Unity Stamps are just perfect for this!
And if you're not into Bible journalling, why not journal in your planner?

Here I am using my MAMBI Happy Planner to just fill up the empty spaces and write down my favorite Bible verses. You could also write down happy quotes, inspirations, memories, ... ANYTHING!!

Unity Stamp Company blog: Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #smak #biblejournal #mambi #happyplanner #stamp

I painted the background with some Distress Paints [spun sugar, seedless preserves, picked raspberry] and stamped the images with Memento Dew Drop inks [turquoise gem, galaxy gold]. I wrote down the verse with my Micron Pigma pen when the paint has dried.

I have used the SMAK Aug 2015 kit "A little bit more" for this page

Hope you've been inspired to stretch your stamps a little bit more! :)
Have a wonderful week ahead.

Growing in Unity

Welcome to Growing in Unity!  This week Robin is up sharing her Unity creations!

Meet Robin:

Here is a little something about Robin:

"My name is Robin Novak.  I am a registered nurse and certified infection preventionist.  I started scrapbooking 9 years ago when my first grandchild was born.  It quickly became an obsession and led to all types of artistic adventures.  I quickly learned that I love to stamp.  I tried all types of stamps from the wood mounted to the clear acrylics.  Each type has it's own unique footprint.  One of the things that I struggled learning was to make cards.  I just couldn't get the hang of such a small "canvas" in which to work.  With many years of practice, I finally became more proficient.  I now have 8 grandchildren and each of them asks for a handmade birthday card every year."

Check out this wonderful card Robin made this week:

Be sure to swing on by Robin's blog each day this week for loads of Unity inspiration and your chance to win some Unity goodies!

Till next week!

Time for a little Saturday SMAK!!!

HI PEEPS!!  It is Noelle posting today!
SMAK is my FAVE!!!
I can never get enough of it!  How about you?
October is AWESOME!!!!!
Jake and Jolande NAILED IT!!!!
I will need to own this one.  These images are just screamin' to be embossed :)

I used some old favorites.
The hearts and the so fabulous are from

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT {SMAK 2/15}

I have to tell you one of my favorite things is how well these stamps go with EVERYTHING!!

I am not shouting LOL  I am stuck in some font from copy and pasting and well, it adds character right??  And honestly SMAK is worth shouting about in my opinion :)

My printer will not allow me to emboss the images of the digital stamps so when my name is on a post to use any kit I want I emboss all night!!
I have a think for this butterfly, they added a heart to suck me right in!!  It is from SMAK 03/15 Do what we love
The sentiment which is the way I live my life is from Ourselves 01/15 SMAK
I forget how many miles a Monarch migrates but they just never give up either!!
I didn't use any Layers of Life tonight but not from lack of love, just time!!  This post foes live in less than 3 hours.  This is Septembers' October's should be up soon and boy are you going to LOVE it!!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!
See ya' soon!

SOTW Reminder—Poinsettia Wishes

HAPPY Friday to you all!

It’s Camille here today with this week’s Stamp-of-the-Week reminder for Poinsettia Wishes.

Holiday season is fast approaching and I’m sure quite a bit of you have started some of your holiday cards. Well, have you thought of decorating the envelope? This is a pretty fun activity to do while relaxing, watching TV, or even while hanging out at sports practice for your children. All you need is this week’s Stamp of the Week, stamping ink(like StazOn if using water), coloring pencils, and a Wink of Stella brush. Coloring is all the rage right now—so fun and carefree. You’ll get these done in no time.

Here’s a couple of shots of how I plan to decorate my holiday envelopes this year.

1

I used some Inktense pencils with a waterbrush to color the stamp and then went over the poinsettia petals with a Wink-of-Stella brush.

Here’s a view of the envelope flap with the sentiment from this month’s Stamp of the Week.

2

Be sure to sign up for a Stamp-of-the-Week subscription . Start with this one, so you can build your stash NOW!  You will get a NEW stamp delivered to you each and every week. You’ll be doing so much shopping for everyone else this season, why not get something started for YOU to enjoy?!

You won’t even have to leave your house to get it—DO it!

Inspiration Wednesday with Andrea

Good Afternoon!
Today is Wednesday so that means it is time to be inspired
and create!

I have to admit I have caught the foiling bug
I would lay in bed at night trying to figure out where I could get my hands on some foil
Seriously

Two things got this obsession of mine rolling

This:

And Angeline's quick tip how to foil video:

Those 2 things led me to this:

I did it!!!
I hope you can see the shimmer of the gold foil
This card may look simple and easy
but it took hours and hours of testing to get it to work
I used a slightly different way than Angeline using a laminator to heat set
lots of samples straight to the garbage till this one
But as trying as the situation was
I was kind of loving it
Like I was some kind of mad scientist hee hee

I used this Layers of Life kit:

What inspires you to create today?
If you don't have any gold foil dig out your gold embossing powder!

I don't think gold EVER goes out of style!
Let it inspire YOU today!

Growing in Unity!

It's Growing in Unity Wednesday!  This week Rebecca is up sharing her wonderful Unity creations!

Meet Rebecca:

Here is a little something about Rebecca:

"Hi, i'm Rebecca Wong from Malaysia.
I started my scrappy journey since Mid of 2013. Although i'm quite "new" in scrapbook journey, but i'm glad that i able to "hooked" on to this hobby as it's my way of release stress from work. I deeply falling in love with scrapbooking, i enjoy every moments when i sit in my scrappy room, only have me and my colors, papers, stamps, glue and scissor.
Somehow, I believed scrap booking could heal. I lost my mom last year April, and i overcome the pain in a short period of time when i spend most of the time in my scrappy room, making cards and coloring, my pain healed silently. I know I'm blessed to be able to create and share, hope that you can enjoy my sharing this week, have a nice day!"

Check out this wonderful card she made this week:

Be sure to swing on by her blog each day this week for loads of inspiration and your chance to win some Unity goodies!

KOTM Monday - Oh So Merry and Bright

Good morning! Heather here stopping by to share a card I made with the current Kit of the Month - if you are beginning to think of holiday cards, this is a perfect kit to start out with if you are on the fence about giving it a try! You can read all the details HERE - this is my very favorite kit option, and what got me started and hooked on Unity!

My card today is featuring a fun technique I have played around with recently - using Copic markers to achieve a Sepia tone effect, like old fashioned pictures! I love printing pics of my family off in that tone and using them in my scrapbooks, so I thought it would be fun to do it with an image on a card as well! I have a Quick Tip video below sharing how I did it if you're interested.

I had to speed it up quite a bit, so sorry in advance for that! But it really took me under 5 minutes total in coloring, so super quick and easy way to color a large image!

Here is a look at that Kit I used - just beautiful! I can't wait to use each and every image on there - LOVE them all!

I added some Basic Grey pattern paper and a bit of machine stitching and distressing on the edges to soften it all up. Love the rustic feel that gives!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!
