Inspiration Wednesday!

Hello there Unity friends,
Karen here with you today to share this sweet little card I created.
I always find that Pinterest can provide such a variety of
inspiration, so when I saw this little owl with the winter beanie,
I had to find a new way to color him in!

Here's what I found on Pinterest to help
inspire my card creation...

I especially love the soft colors and tones used for shading this little guy.
Those huge and colorful flowers caught my eye as well.
So, I pulled out the current
Unity November KOTM- "Best Year Yet" and went on my little way
playing with colors, textures, and some mixed media goodies!!

Here you can see I added more details, like adding some Glossy Accents
to his eyeglasses, so they resemble real shades!
I also decided to use some Frantage embossing powders to
add some snow effect to the background of the stamped image.
The background paper has been embossed with a beautiful floral pattern.

Lastly, I made this huge tattered flower using distress inks
in a variety of peaches, pinks, and old paper colors.
Sprinkled tiny dots to the center of the flower.
Then, the leaves were also distress inked and covered with
some marble glitter to resemble snow!

Hope this inspires you to pull out your mixed media
supplies, Copics, and find some photos via Pinterest
to add a different flavor to your creations.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hugs & Smiles,
