SMAK Saturday

Hello! Shemaine here with a SMAK Saturday post.

Today I wanted to share some tips for creating one layer cards using SMAK images to create backgrounds.

I chose the February 2015 SMAK kit : Life is What You Make It to create with today.

This kit features some really great patterns to create with. The 3 I chose were perfect for stamping backgrounds on my cards.

I like to chose lighter colored inks to stamp with. For this card I used Studio G pigment ink in a lime green color. I purchased these inks from Joann's in packs of 3.

One layer cards are great because they don't take up too many supplies to create. I simply choose a coordinating sentiment to go with this stamp and a few sequins and bling. Super cute and super easy!

For this card I used both the butterfly images on one block to create a background with the same brand ink in a light purple.

For this card I stamped the triangles image at an angle. Super fun result.

Here's a look at the October SMAK

I'd love for you to experiment with your KOTM and SMAK images using lighter ink colors and post your results in our Unity Show & Tell group.

We love checking out your work.

Have a great weekend!
