DT Tuesday—Leave Ordinary Behind

Wow--It's the middle of April already? Has your Spring been sprouting or blooming?

This week, I was inspired to create a tag using this month’s SMAK kit with the color prompt from the NEW Unity {be inspired} Challenge.  I just love the way the tag came together, almost effortlessly.

Sometimes I’m eager to create but just don’t know how to begin. Do you know what I mean?

Unity’s {be inspired} Challenge is definitely a great place to start. There’s an inspirational color photo, a card sketch, AND a layout sketch. If you decide to use any one of these or ALL of these prompts to kick start your creativity, please share/post a picture of your project to Unity’s blog as you can win BIG!  Here’s a link to the challenge with all of the details:  http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/.

Couple the challenge with one of Unity’s monthly kits, like this month’s SMAK kit, and you’re on your way to creating in no time.  Here’s a peek at “Leave Ordinary Behind”.

For this week’s picks, I found some Unity enthusiasts who were inspired to use the Unity {be inspired} Challenge.

First up is Yvonne Garner. What a great way to use the color prompt as a background. Yvonne’s use of watercolors is spot on with the color prompt and provides warmth and whimsy.

Next up is Iona (Gail). Iona stamped onto tissue paper and then adhered it to her project. Iona also used the color prompt for inspiration. Very NICE job, Iona. I love this technique—thanks for sharing.

Thanks ladies for sharing your projects and using Unity’s {be inspired} Challenge.

I’m quite fond of this inspirational quote and abide by it as much as possible.
