Can you smell the citrus???

It is CITRUS time!!!

I live in Arizona and we have 
citrus coming out our ears right now.

The weird weather this season
had the trees growing fruit and blooming in different phases.  
It was quite unusual.
Everywhere I go, people are trying to 
give away their grapefruit and lemons.
Not a bad thing I suppose.

So, I have citrus on the mind and their beautiful colors.

These fresh colors inspired my card for today.

I LOVE that big flower background.
I used two different inks to create some color 
dimension before stamping.

 First, I covered the entire stamp with a green Citrine.  
Then, I used a sponge dauber to add some 
Canary yellow to the flower tops.

You could easily add more inks 
and layer more colors if you'd like.

Then, I just stamped it all at once.
Pigment inks work better for this technique
because they take longer to dry.

I just love citrus! You are so very lucky!! I love the smell, the look of them, the colors! All citrus!
You made a fabulous citrus card too! This kit is way cute. I know I probable should, but I still haven't signed up for this kit of the month. Now I wished I had Love this one!
