Mixed Media SMAK Saturday!!

Good Afternoon everyone, Angie Blom here with a Mixed Media Canvas Art post. Did you know some of these images in the SMAK kit are great for Mixed Media Art.. They are so perfectly sizedso you can use them on your canvases without too much fuss..

I am going to show you and explain how.
This one I did using the January  2013 SMAK kit..

My Banner Life
here is the January 2013 SMAK kit..
if you are a SMAK kit member you can get all the past kits for the membership
price. It is only offered at this price if you are a membership.. that is a great
benefit for joining this SMAK  kit of the month!!
First I coated my canvas (3x5) with some yellow paint,
this I did with 2 coats of Claudine Hellmuth Studio dash of yellow
Let dry...
then using my versamark ink pad I inked up the birdcage image.
inking it up each time for the added birdcages..
then with some White embossing powder I sprinkled
it on top of each image.. tapping the access powder off.
Then with my heat gun I heated all the images up.
leaving a glossy embossed look.. it looks
amazing on the yellow painted background.
Using the Life is Good sentiment. I did the same thing but using black embossing
powder.. the only thing left to do was to add some fun elements.
Those white embellishments are some older Melissa Frances
embellishments from my stash.. the polymer clay camera my
son made me last year and the heart pins are from Maya Road.
I think it give a fun feel to the canvas.. Simple and not too much.
Now, tell me isn't this great.. you can do this with all Unity Images.. we
have so many large wonderful images you can make a whole stack
of small canvas ART pieces for your home or a gift.
This is the current SMAK kit.. it just came out Yesterday..
tell me would that heart map  or compass image look amazing on a piece of CANVAS!!
I think so...
You can check out all the details for the SMAK kit on the
Unity Stamp Company Website.
Have a Creative Day
Hugs,
Angie
xoxo
