Good Monday morning to you all!
Let's get this work week started with a little
KIT OF THE MONTH
action!
I'm a layering type of gal.
I love three-dimensional elements and creating those
with stamps are so much fun and easy to do.
Save up those scraps of cardstock and patterned papers
and set out to craft-up these beautiful poinsettia ornaments/gift tags
using the August Kit of the Month.
For the base, I layered two die-cut doilies with foam dots in between.
I stamped both the large and small poinsettia images onto green, red and butter cardstock.
With a pair of micro-tip scissors, I trimmed out the green, being sure to leave the leaves intact.
When trimming out the actual poinsettias, just trim the red and then layer
over the green image with foam dots.
Finally, cut the center of the poinsettia from the butter cardstock; glitter if desired.
I love the nostalgic feeling of this iconic Christmas plant and it looks even
more vintage with the cute "Happy Holidays" banner draped across the front.
Just tie on a bit of baker's twine or ribbon and your all set for gift-giving :)
With larger images and ones that are easy to cut-out, I like to make
my very own embellishments for cards.
Not only is it economical, but if you're wanting to mass produce
a certain card for a birthday party or Christmas, you can master the
same look without having to spend a fortune :)
Butterflies and hearts have to be the top two on my list
of card accents. Using this beautiful vintage inscribed butterfly from
the September Kit of the Month made the perfect accessory to this card.
After stamps and cutting out, I embellished with a couple of buttons
and a chipboard sticker.
Just LOOK at all of those gorgeous and unique stamps that you
receive in ONE Kit of the Month from Unity. Such a nice mix of
backgrounds, sentiments and icons...you won't be disappointed!
That's all for today, folks!
Have a grand week!
