Hello and happy Sunday! It's Lisa H. with you today. I really love these posts. Mixed media can mean a lot of different things to different people. For me, it means pulling out some materialsand using them together.
Today I pulled out some acetate. It adds a unique and unexpected touch to any project.
I think the easiest thing to do with it is die cut it. I used a large layered heart die (Layered Hearts die-namic by MFT).
I cut the top heart with acetate and sponged theedges with some Vintage Cream ink. This helps make the clear, Acetate stand out on your card.
The tricky thing about acetate is how to adhere it down. I always make sure I layer something on top of it, whether it be a stamped image (like I did here), a button, or another die cut. This way I can "hide" the adhesive behind it.
I used this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge for my layout.
I wanted to add some additional texture to my card so I used
that gorgeous Wired Burlap Ribbon and
tied it up with some striped Twill Ribbon.
The stamp set is one of my Unity FAVES....it's the heart from
The edges are all inked with some Tim Holtz distress ink....ahhh!
I used Walnut Stain.
Love these inks.
Did you know Unity sells them?
They Do...
Have a beautiful day!
and thanks for stopping by.
