Hello! It's Lisa H. here with you today. I had some fun with the new S.M.A.K. kitand a variety of textures, dies, and inks. I started with a 4x4 chipboard coaster.covered it with some Studio Calico Memoir paper, rounded the corners andinked up the edges with distress ink. This S.M.A.K. kit is calledMake Everyday Count!
Then I stamped the "me" stamp all over the backgroundof a coordinating piece of paer with Versamark ink, clear embossed it,and made it pop by rubbing it with some distress ink (evergreen boughs). The sentiment flag is my favorite ANDit's some words I need to be living by. I love that we create when we feel. I needed to be reminded of this over the past week!
The bird house and bird are cut from some My Favorite Things die-namics
(homespun birdhouse-LOVE these!
and they cut through sooo many materials).
I used wood veneer for the house and added a
subtle background with the the clubs and spade stamp.
Roof is cut from cork.
and the birdie is fabric with a bit of wonky stitching for detail.
I added a touch of pretty with some hand spritzed seam binding ribbon!
the S.M.A.K. kits are sooo fabulous and easy to work with.
You really can create anything with them.
