it's me. ang. - getting creative with {ippity} - chick CHALLENGE - NEW FUN STUFF!

Chick Challenges with {ippity}

Welcome to the Chick Picks Blog Hop, celebrating the official launch of our brand new challenge blog, Chick Challenges {with Ippity}!  Chick Challenges was created by the Unity Endorsed Ippity Chicks to provide you with inspiring sketches, creative project ideas, and the chance to win some fabulous Ippity stamps!

Our blog hop will run from Oct. 1 to Oct. 5.  Each day, we will feature 5 new Ippity Chicks OR ME. - hee, hee. -  and their projects.  We will be sharing projects made using our favorite Ippity stamp sets.  To sweeten the deal even more, Chick Challenges is giving away Ippity stamp sets to (2) lucky commenters!

To win, you must:
1) become a "follower" of the Chick Challenges blog (www.chickchallengeswithippity.blogspot.com);
2) visit each stop on the hop and leave a comment; and
3) come back to the Chick Challenges blog and tell us what YOUR favorite Ippity stamp set is.
(You can view all of Ippity's stamp sets by clicking on the "catalog" tab at the top of the Chick Challenges blog.)

Alright-  here is my project.
Wanna know WHY these sweet, fun pictures were taken?
Little Melvins.
I live in a resort community.
The MOST BEAUTIFUL lake in the whole wide world is 2 blocks away from my house.
....and so is LITTLE MELVINS.

Little Melvins holds a TON of history for this CHICK.
in 1991 I graduated from Highschool.
in 1991 I was pregnant with my oldest son Nicholas.
in I got a job at Little Melvins.
...and they were SO GOOD to me.
the owners, the customers, EVERYTHING about that place is LOVE.

i stopped working there in 1995.
cried all the way home.
i KNEW i would miss that place.
so much.

a couple years after i was done working there...NEW OWNERS took over.
Dave and Mary.
Some of the most KIND and GRACIOUS people you will ever meet!
they have been in charge of MELVINS for a very long time.
we have made some AMAZING memories - with friends and family.
LAST SATURDAY.
was the LAST NIGHT of MELVINS.
....these were the pictures taken amongst FRIENDS.
look at the happiness.
WE were SO LUCKY to have that joint.
WE are going to MISS the MELVINS legacy.

BUT CHANGE IS GOOD, right?
all is well.

the kit i used in this LAYOUT is {...thankful FOR YOU}
how appropriate is THAT?
:)
i am THANKFUL for the women in this picture.
i am THANKFUL for LITTLE MELVINS.
the friendships, the laughter, and even the opportunity to raise my babies while i was young, work my rear off, and make the most amazing life long acquaintences.
