It's no wonder I love butterflies

Hello there, it's me Shemaine! I hope you have had a great weekend so far. Mine has been going so well I completely forgot that I had a post to share with you today! So, my appologies for being late but it's still going to be fun right?
It's no secret that I love butterflies. I use them every chance I get in my projects. It doesn't matter if they are stamped, punched from paper or made with felt. I will collect and hoard them. So it only made sense that I show you Unity's Store kit, Delight in Beauty by artist Joslyn Nielson.

I love the softness of this kit, the variety of butterflies and sentiments that are perfect for cards. I easily created a layout using several of the stamps in this set. I wanted to show you a fun way to use them so I  used vellum to stamp a few of the butterfly images onto as well.

Another tip is to use colored ink and stamp an image behind your sentiment like I did here.
Doing this adds softness and dimension.

Here's what you'll need to give my technique a try. Vellum paper from Grafix, any pigment ink (in this case I chose a pink chalk pigmen ink from Studio G that was $1 at Michaels and some clear embossing powder. Stamp your image and sprinkle with the embossing powder. Then use your heat tool to emboss the image. This vellum is great because it's a heavier weight than most vellum.

Now just cut them out and add some bling and adhere them to your layout. Easy peasy and really fun!
I hope you have a creative weekend!

Shemaine
