Hello there Unity friends! Karen here with you this wonderful Sunday! Today, I am sharing a beautiful shabby vintage card with you using so many cool mediums.
My card features Unity's July Kit of the Month - Better Together! If you are interested in picking it up today, just click on the photo below to buy yours today!
Now, on to my card...now that I think of it...perhaps, I should end up framing and gifting it for a special occassion or to give to a friend or family member for their Anniversary! Or, do I keep it all to myself (smile)?
I always love Unity's quotes & sentiments, and this one for me holds a special place in my heart. It was a reading shared on my wedding day, and I am sure for many others. I think it's just a great reminder in every situation..don't you think? Click on the photos below, to see the details!
The heart was handrawn on to linen fabric, machine stitched, and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist. I then added my beautiful quote Unity stamp to the center of the heart, and added the little spray of Unity stamp flowers. If you look closely, I used a couple of PITT Artist Pens to color in. The blue background has been painted with blue paint, and distressed inked! The paint area is actually a kraft enevelope turned backwards...and then I added a strip of Tissue Paper by Tim Holtz toward the bottom, after I painted with blue!
For an extra shabby feel, I added a vintage laced doily, and a few little Tim Holtz trinket and memo pins, along with a hemp cord bow and dainty fabric style Prima flower!
Hoping to inspire you to look at your Unity stamps with mixed media eyes! Until next time...
Enjoy & have a fabulous day!!
