Jimmi's Favorite Things Sunday!

Hey everyone!

Guess what? It snowed in SE VA yesterday! Holy cow, right? This just does not happen...I think I need to move farther South to avoid the next snowstorm...I'm not a fan!
The dogs love it though ;D
And my sweet babies are 2 of my favorite things in the world!

My bestie Sherry pointed this gorgeous card out to me and I'm so happy she did, it's beautiful and by SCSer briarthyme

This paper pad from Basic Grey is a MUST HAVE! It's full of patterned Kraft colored paper...amazing:

I love this adorable owl card by SCSer DonnaMaria, just look at that owls face:

Ok, this is really bad but I got these new Oakley sunglasses late Summer (August maybe) and kind of forgot all about them but now I totally LOVE them again, it's like getting new sunglasses without paying for them...just forgetting about them, oops! They are coming in very handy today with this glaring snow all around me:

Here is a fabulous little tutorial for a perfect Valenitine's treat bag by Beate using another owl stamp...I must be in an owl mood this week cause they are really catching my eye:

Ok, now I have to go and get to the Mall or something! I didn't get to shop at all in CA...a whole week without buying anything but food or water...TORTURE!

Have a FUN day!!!

It's Your Day!!!

Hey everyone! This is Julie posting today! Most of the girls are still living it up in sunny California... so I get the privilege of hanging with all of my blog buddies. One of my favorite soon-to-be-released stamp sets from Unity is called 'It's Your Day'. It's available now for wholesale ONLY purchases... but after CHA, you'll be able to snatch one up for yourself!

I LOVE this set because it's perfect for creating whimsical birthday cards & scrapbook pages. The numbers are really versatile & super duper CUTE! I could see them used for calendars or school projects too.

Here's a card I made using one of the adorable sentiments in the set. I'm always needing birthday cards - especially kids' cards.And... in true Unity style, I wanted to leave you with some cute birthday quotes from kids:

"Tomorrow we can eat broccoli, but today is for ICE CREAM!" -- Mallory Hobson, age 9

"It's fun to grow up because TV and cookies stop being bad for you." -- Hannah Cheatem, age 8

"Happy Birthday! How many fingers are you?" -- Shane O'Donnell, age 4

"Don't try the cake. Go for the icing." -- Liam Holland, age 8

"One birthday is worth ten normal days." -- Hassan Jeng, age 9

Subbing during CHA...

Good morning Unity Peeps!

Christi here with you today...

Almost the whole Unity crew is out in California for the Craft & Hobby Association show, so the few of us that are left are going to be blogging for you here on the Unity blog this week.

While I am totally jealous of those out in California, I am working through it by getting inky using my all-new Unity stamp kits that are being released there this week. ;o)

So today, I have a card to share with you using that adorable Could I be Any Cuter kit (the link takes you to the wholesale ordering section of the website. It won't be available for retail sale until sometime after CHA ends.)

I love the style of the sentiments of this kit. The script gives it a more personal look to it that I love. For the butterfly, I stamped it onto the yellow patterned paper, cut it out, shaded its wings using watercolor pencils, and then added a bit of bling for its body (you can never really have too much bling can you? hehe.)

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Could I Be Any Cuter
*October Afternoon Farm Fresh paper collection
*Nestabilities Labels diecut
*Martha Stewart ribbon
*Fiskars border punch
*watercolor pencils (shading on butterfly)
*Making Memories bling chipboard
*Palette Burnt Umber inkpad
*Zig writer (detail lines around the diecut)
*flat backed gems (butterfly body)

And because this is Angela's blog, you know that I have to leave you with a quote.

Teresa Otto posted this one on Facebook this morning
and I thought that it was perfect for today....

Art is running away
without ever having to leave home.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

DT Tuesday...Robyn Weatherspoon!

Hey everybody! It's Robyn and I'm just so excited about this week! The first thing is I get to be featured here today, and then this Friday I will be in Anaheim, California for CHA!! I've got to tell you that I always look forward to CHA because I get to spend time with my Unity Peeps, I see all of my scrappy friends, and I get to see all of the scrappilicious new products making their debut! Yep, it's a happy time for me!

Today I'm sharing two cards that I made. The cutalicious kit I used on the first card is Love Bug and I love it! The adorable kit I used on the second card is an incentive kit called Cozy Comfort- which is the type of kit you'll get for free if you sign up for the Kit of the Month Club. Aren't these kits adorable? Well, if you'd like to get an incentive kit all you have to do is sign up for the Kit of the Month Club, and if you want the Love Bug kit all you have to do is go to the Unity site and buy it! The paper I used on both cards are from BoBunny.

Oh, and if you just happen to be at CHA and see me, please stop to say hello! I'd sure love to meet you! Have a wonderfully scrappy day!

Blessings to you and yours!

You're a Doll...

Good Morning, everyone!

Did you all have a wonderful weekend?   I hope so!

You know, if there is ONE thing in this life that makes me utterly happy besides the love of my immediate family, of course, it's a few good girlfriends.   TRUE friends...soul sisters...and if you're REAL lucky, this type of friend might even be a STAMPIN' sister on top of it!

Well, I happen to have been able to spend time with THREE stampin' sisters this weekend...and I am a lucky, lucky girl :) I just had a BLAST.  I came home totally missing my kids and DH, but I came home rejuvenated, happy, and well, just a bit sore from laughing ;)

When I inked up this NEW set from UNITY called "You're A Doll", I couldn't help but want to dedicate this card to my girlies and our weekend because they really ARE just absolute DOLLS!   I am in LOVE with this new set.   Have you seen the NEW RELEASES that are already available on the UNITY site?

Grab them now because in JUST a few short days, you are going to start seeing some SERIOUS CHA Cuteness and you're going to need to shop...AGAIN!!!

Not only that, but have you guys SEEN the NEW PERKS for signing up for the Kit of the MONTH??  There's still time to begin NOW by ordering the January Kit {Savor the Journey}, and wait until you see all the NEW BENEFITS!    I've posted them so you can see what you're missing if you still need to sign up-I LOVE these kits!

Well, I hope your week starts out on a little MORE Mellow, little less Manic note...we're off of school today so I'm hoping a few extra precious minutes of sleep will do us all some good!  I will try to post a bit more about my weekend on my BLOG this week along with some more UNITY!

I'll leave you now with a few good quotes about GIRLFRIENDS as I am REALLY missing my girlies already but what a heartwarming memory I have of the weekend!

Jessica xoxo

LOVE THIS....and SO true!

"In my friend, I find a second self."  ~Isabel Norton
Or in this case, a second, third, and fourth ;0)

And last, but not least, I had to throw this in because well....I just had to ;)
