Whats better than something FREE????

Unity has teamed up with Big Picture Scrapbooking

Ali Edwards Yesterday & Today class
(a $99.00 VALUE)

Join popular blogger and scrapbooker Ali Edwards,  along with a diverse group of memory keepers, as they learn to make meaningful connections to their past in order to live their life in a more thoughtful way. Projects are limited to one layout a week that address the questions listed below.
Are you new to online education? Ali’s robust, cutting-edge online classroom provides content in multiple learning platforms: video, audio and traditional written handouts.  The classroom also houses sharing galleries and multiple message boards. This is your last opportunity to participate in Yesterday & Today at Big Picture Classes. Don’t miss out on this popular class!
Yesterday & Today
Where do you begin creating with photos from generations past?
What do you wish you knew about your parents when they were growing up? What life lessons do you want to pass on to your children?
How do you document the challenging times in your life?
How do you create layouts that tell special stories when you don't have any photos?

Ali says,
“The benefit of looking to the past is that we gain perspective. We see things differently after developing an awareness of what we know and what we wished we knew. Looking back, even if we're just viewing old photos of people we don't know, can change the way we approach the photos we take and the stories we tell today.”

I would love to win this so I can bring together all of our families old pictures. Everyone has some here and there and I think it would be great to have them in one place, but also don't want to ruin their integrity.

What an amazing giveaway for such a brilliant class.

So, why should you pick me to win? I've a big box full of photos from my late Nan and my Mum and could use some help in working out how to scrapbook them. What questions should I be asking my Mum? What should I be documenting? How should I be doing it? Anything that helps with this would be just the best thing to help me get started.

Thank you x

Wow what a unique opportunity. I've been scrapbooking for about 6 yrs now and would like to do a better job of actually telling a story to leave behind. This class sounds like just the ticket for me. I've never taken an online class but I'm game! missspunky91@hotmail.com

I would love to win admission to the class because I'm new to scrapbooking also I was just given my Dad's slide collection of our family. I would love to preserve them for my family in my Dad's memory!

This class sounds so inspiring! It has just occurred to me that I have become more of a "collector" of scrapbooking supplies than a scrapbooker. I have even purchased a kit to do old photos and have yet to open it. Having lost two younger siblings, I would love to start documenting our family life and put all those old family pictures, that are now sitting in a box, where they belong...in a scrapbook for all to enjoy.

My sister is working on our family tree and just this past year we discovered that we're Irish!! That definitely explains the red hair and freckles that run throughout our family! What I wouldn't give to have just "one more day" with my grandma Ellie who came over to America from Denmark after her parents died ... and she was only 12 years old. I can't EVEN imagine what she must have felt and the experiences of coming to America and landing at Ellis Island (we have a pic of the boat she came on and a photo of where she signed her name).

Hi Unity- I would love to take a classlike this. My parents were Holocaust survivors and I have some treasured and rare family photos that deserve to be honored. I am sure this class will inspire me to create a special way to do them justice. I also believe that my tiny family is so special that i would like to continue journaling and saving our current photos. I know Ali is very skilled and she can show me some great new ideas.
thanks for the chance chchida@aol.com

When I was younger, I thought I would never forget anything. Now that I'm almost 50, I'm lucky to remember anything. I would love the opportunity to capture the little and big memories of my crazy life spent traveling with the military, being a mom, owning two businesses, and just loving family and friends and nature. Some "direction" with a class like this would be the perfect prompt for me to stop procrastinating and get my memories documented before the memories all fade away.

Love this giveaway!!!

I think it would be great to pick me to win for the following reasons:

1-I am craft poor- hubby put me on a craft budget *weep*

2- I want to be able to give my daughters each a scrapbook when they move out. They are now 11 and 14 and in the past 12 years of scrapbooking I haven't made it past year 1 for my oldest.

3- It would inspire me to use much of what I own aka- 'You could open a store just with your craft crap' according to my hubby

4- I heart Ali Miles and Unity xo

5- It will force me to actually scrapbook instead of just thinking hard about scrapbooking lom

I would LOVE the opportunity to take a class from Ali! I visit her blog just about every day...she is a big part of my scrapbooking/storytelling inspiration. And this yesterday/today class would be just perfect for me right now. This year, after having a death in our family, I am feeling more focused than ever to capture more than just pictures but the stories behind them for our family to be able to look back on and share for generations to come. For Christmas, I gave my parents a journal along with journal prompts and titled it Leaving a Legacy in the hopes that each week they will take time to write down family history, stories, and memories that we can pass down and treasure. Thank you so much for the chance to take this class from Ali...I know it would take my scrapbooking to a whole new level!

Ali Edwards rocks! I love her approach to story telling and I would love to take this class to tell my story - the real me - not the mommy me - for my kids.

Twnkies Mom said...

Before I had kids I loved to write poems and stories. Since having my twins I am ashamed to say that I have lost a part of myself. Scrapbooking gives me a creative outlet, but the storytelling/journaling continues to be a struggle for me. I find myself losing my mojo more often than not simply because I don't know what to say. I would love to win this class to ignite my inner journalista again.

I would LOVE to win a spot in this class! Ali is the best! I want to be able to tell my mom's stories of all of her old photos I inherited from her. I really need to do this while she is with me so I can document her stories. (My mom is a "graduate" of Hospice currently in a nursing home.) I really would LOVE this class! Thanks for the chance.
