it's my mamas birthday.

today is my mama's birthday.
isn't she beautiful?
oh. how i love this woman.
there has never ever been a moment in my life that she has left me alone. ever.
even though i have nearly drove her to drink at times.

we are opposite.
she is clean.
i am messy.
she is detailed.
i am ALL over the place.
she is organized.
i am chaos.
we are the same.
we love deep conversations.
we find joy in the simple things.
we laugh. a lot.
at everything even remotely humorous.
we both love movies, lake days, and my kids.
{i think she thinks my husband is a pretty neat guy as well}
so this is my ode' to my mama.
one of the greatest women on earth.
who only makes me crazy when she tells me what i don't want to hear.
{which she saves for the times that REALLY matter}
....but that is what mama's are for, RIGHT?!

Bored today?
Highly unlikely - as women we are always SO BUSY,
if you have a moment....
please participate.

Operation Write Home is an organization that collects blank handmade cards from crafters all across the country and sends them to members of our military so they can send them back home to their loved ones.  They also collect cards of appreciation and gratitude for the service men and women currently serving our country.

Isn't that a great idea?

Think about being in Afghanistan and knowing that your loved one has a birthday coming up and not being able to send him/her a card because you had no way to go out and buy one!

Crafters to the Rescue!!

Please make one or more themed cards (blank inside) or a thank you card to honor a member of the military and mail it to Unity Stamp Company.

Unity Stamp Company
PO Box 424
100 W. Central Avenue
New London, MN 56273

We will take care of the rest!

There are some important things to know before you make your card, so please check out the OWH site.  They also explain what special occasions or holiday they are currently collecting cards for but they always welcome the "thinking of you" or "missing you" types of cards!

Check out more details HERE!

looking forward to seeing all the lovely creations that come in!

lunch with my mama.

one quote:

this has NOTHING to do with the post i just made, but I LOVE IT anyway!

"The world is so fast that there are days when the person who says it can't be done is interrupted by the person who is doing it."

isn't that the greatest?  ...and so true.
